Weekend Update

What a weekend! I don't know if there was a full moon or if it was just the weather change, but my kids acted a total fool weren't quite themselves this weekend. Poor Drew was fussy and Clayton has been a crazy man. Hmmm... weird.

On Saturday Clayton had a soccer game. Our sweet friends, the Brewers, were kind enough to come and cheer on our little guy. He was so excited to have them there! Unfortunately, the game was a total blow out - and not in our favor. :( Clayton (who has been sooo excited about soccer) acted like he couldn't care less about playing. It was so bizarre. He didn't act interested in trying to score a goal or get the ball. Maybe soccer isn't his thing. Guess we'll just wait and see...

They tried to take a team picture before the game. None of the kids were feelin' it! :)
Abbey & her boy (Luke wore a jacket with a soccer ball on it for the occasion!)

Can you tell that he was focused and totally into the game? (Yeah, right!)
We got Drew and Luke together for some pictures. They are finally getting to the point where they notice each other and act interested in "playing." It's so fun to watch...
The highlight of the weekend was this morning. My sweet niece, Makinley, was baptized! I watched with tear-filled eyes as that precious girl went through the ceremony that is an outward expression of what the Lord has done in her heart. I am so thrilled that I will get to spend an eternity in heaven with the niece that I adore on earth. We love you and are sooo proud of you, Mak!
As an added bonus, we got to visit our previous church (from before we moved). My sister-in-law and her family are members there, so that is where Makinley was baptized. We got to see several friends that we haven't seen in awhile and took Drew to the nursery where Clayton went as a baby. Most of the same sweet ladies were still working in the nursery. They were excited to see Clayton and how much he had grown. They also took great care of our sweet Drew. (Thanks, Miss Gail, for loving on him! It was so fun to see you!!!)
Makinley's special day was a great way to end the weekend!
Hopefully, the moon will change phases or the weather will warm up and my sweet babies will be back to their usual selves tomorrow. Cross your fingers!

I'm sure it was just the change of weather. The news about Mak. was wonderful.

It was so wonderful to see you on Sunday...such a great surprise. The bonus was getting to play with your precious Drew during extended session. (I admit that I was a little possessive.) Clayton was as handsome as his pictures, and of course you and Wade looked great too! We miss your sweet family.
