Clayton's Surgery

In our never ending quest to help our Clayton breathe better, we recently had him seen by an ENT in our area.  He suggested surgery to remove Clayton's adenoids and laser some excess tissue off of his nasal passages.  He had never had any kind of surgery before, so we were all a bit anxious.  He did really well, though!  He was hysterical after his dose of oral Versed.  He was waving at the automated paper towel dispenser (he was convinced that the hand icon that instructs people to wave their hand to advance the paper towels was waving at him), putting his surgical cap over his feet, acting silly, etc.  He had Wade & I in stitches!

He did well during the surgery, thankfully.  He was pretty grouchy (not himself at all!) after surgery.  I kept apologizing to all of the staff and promising that he is really a good kid, not the demon child that he was acting like.  Haha!

Hoping that this surgery helps our boy to breathe easier!

Clayton's RUSH therapy

We kicked off Clayton's Immunotherapy using the RUSH method.  He got shots for 4 hours on two days (with a day of rest in between).  This would "rush" him through the first 6 months of allergy shots.  He did great the first day!  He was a bit anxious, so he asked Mrs. Libby if it was going to hurt.  She said, "It isn't too bad.  It feels like this." then she gave him a shot before he knew what hit him.  Ha!  He was a trooper and didn't fuss about the pain of the shots at all.  So proud of him!  He got to miss school and sit in a leather recliner for 5 hours, so it wasn't all bad.  ;)

Owen's 3rd Birthday Party - 5/10/14

Owen is THREE years old - this milestone calls for a celebration!  We're so grateful for his sweet life!

The older boys both had train parties for their second birthdays.  However, Owen was into construction vehicles at two, not trains, so that dictated his party theme.  This year Owen has shown much more of an interest in trains, and asked for a train party.  So, we were happy to accommodate.  :)

Funny story...  I was so excited about O's birthday candles that spelled out his name.  They were adorable!  Unfortunately, the "W" broke when I was pulling it out of the package.  :(  I am an extreme perfectionist (yes, I admit it), so the fact that his name candles weren't what I had pictured in my head had me all kinds of upset.  My precious, wise, non-perfectionist husband said, "Just use it anyway.  His new nickname can be Oven."  Hahaha!  I went from super sad to laughing my head off.  We used the candles and have started diverting to Owen's alter ego "Oven" when he is acting a fool.  ;)

This boy was all about being the center of attention.  Love him!

I loved celebrating my sweet THREE year old!  His little life is a precious gift, and I am so grateful that he is mine.  :)

Clayton's 7th Birthday Party

This year, Clayton chose to have his birthday party at a new trampoline park in Southlake called Urban Air. He had been to a birthday party there in January and loved it, so it was an easy decision for him. :) It is a really cool place, but definitely best suited for older kids. There were even several teenagers having their birthday parties there. I would venture a guess that this won't be the last birthday party that we have at Urban Air. The kids all loved it!
The place is literally wall to wall trampolines. Actually, even the walls are trampolines. Ha! It was great for our {almost!} 7 year old that has boundless energy.

Clayton was literally climbing the walls! ;)

He was fearless when it came to the ball pit - crazy flips at every chance he got! I'm pretty sure that he gave me some new grey hairs as I watched.

He was a big fan of dodge ball, too. Check out the birthday boy on the front lines with 2 balls in his hands. Ha!

A toe touch contest ensued between Wade, Makinley, and Leigh Ann. It was pretty funny to watch. :)

Miss Morgan was super helpful with Drew. They are good buds.
Sweet Angel... He would stop bouncing to smile every time that he saw my camera pointed at him. Bless his heart - Becca has trained him well. ;)

I jumped at the chance to take some pictures with some of my favorite girls! :)
Wade was CUH-razy out there! Between he and Doug - the adults had more fun than the kids. Ha! When we laid down that night, Wade said that he felt like he was still bouncing. ;)

Leah and Sadie took Owen out for Justin Beiber's "Baby, Baby, Baby, Oh" song. Quite fitting for our Baby O. :)
How did he get so old??? It baffles me.
Trick candles never get old in my book. C loved it. ;)

Aunt Leigh Ann snuck Owen some icing. Naughty girl! I think her exact words were, "Busted!" when I walked over. Ha! Something tells me that he will go to town on his cake here in a couple of months...
Wade loves Sadie Bug... We all do!

Drew was a wild man in the pit, too.

It was a fun party, for sure! Our Spring Break baby will celebrate his real birthday on Tuesday. He's already been taunting me with a countdown. Only 6 more days of being 6 left... :)
