Carpenter Thanksgiving at Kimi & Joe's

Kimi & Joe were kind to host all of the Carpenters for Thanksgiving this year.  It was delicious and oh, so much fun!

Kimi made the kids' table so pretty!  Made me want to be a kid again!
The boys played washers while the girls & kids decorated gingerbread houses.

These two were proud of our final creation!
The kids played hide & seek - Owen found a good spot!

Thanks, Kimi & Joe, for a fun celebration!

Thanksgiving at Grammie & Papaw's

We spent the beginning of Thanksgiving week at Holly Lake, and we had the best time!  The kids loved playing at the new disc golf course.  They hit a few pine trees, but they had a blast!

My MIL is the cutest!  We got out a new puzzle to work.  She opened the bag of pieces and took them straight to the kitchen.  The next thing we knew, she was sifting them to get all of the tiny pieces of puzzle dust out of them.  Apparently, she always does this...?  We gave her the hardest time!  So funny!
Grammie got O some new scratch art to work on.
I took Clayton and Miss Reagan on a golf cart ride.  We explored the lake and got kicked off of the golf course.  Ooops!

Nothing like the piney woods to make you feel soooo small...
Had to get pictures with the turkeys at the main gate.

Grammie and Papaw surprised the boys with a trip to Santaland.  It was sooooo pretty!

As usual, we loved our time at the Ranch!

Owen's Thanksgiving Feast

The Thanksgiving Feast is a highlight of the Kindergarten year at our little school.  It is such a fun event for our Kinders!  Wade and I were both able to join Owen for his feast this week.  It was such a special time with our littlest!

"....?
for Brody
for Dad & Mom
Mi Basball gam thet we wun
Clatn Drew"
Guess he covered all of his bases.  ;)
 Cute little pilgrim!
The kids decorate turkeys and disguise them so that they won't get eaten for Thanksgiving dinner.  ;)
Owen decorated his like a Pokemon.
The Kinders recited a little rhyme and sang a song.
So proud of our sweet boy!
This is one of Owie's best buds at school.

Thanksgiving at Holly Lake - November 25-29, 2015

On Wednesday, November 25th we headed East to spend some time at Holly Lake with our family out there.  It was a warm Thanksgiving, which meant that we got to spend lots of time outside.  Wade had bought me a new bike as an early Christmas present, so we got to do lots of riding.  I love my cute bike!

Picnics in shorts - you'd never know that it is November!
Speaking of bikes...  My Drew Man learned to ride his bike without training wheels!  Yay!!!  So proud of this cute little biker!

Clayton learned to ride his bike without training wheels at Holly Lake over Thanksgiving as well, so I guess that it is a Carpenter kid tradition!  We should go ahead and pencil Owen in for meeting that milestone in November of 2017.  Haha!

Brode Dog was a big fan of the deer.  :)
This is a silly little story, but I thought it was too funny not to remember.  Owen had made an Indian vest for preschool out of a brown paper sack the week before.  He wore his vest proudly, and that was that.  Fast forward to the week of Thanksgiving, he was eating his cheese in a very particular manner.  After a minute or two, he said, "Look!  My cheese is my Indian vest!"  Haha!

On Black Friday, my sweet father-in-law offered to watch our little two so that all of the rest of us could go shopping.  Apparently, Owen asked Papaw to build him a fort.  As soon as they finished, he went from playing in his fort to sleeping like a rock.  Haha!
The grand finale of our time together was playing Bean-boozled the last night.  Have y'all seen this game???  There are jelly beans that look the same, but taste like two different things (one good and one bad).  So, you never know whether the bean will be tasty or disgusting.  It made for some pretty funny faces!

We have soooo much to be thankful for!  This year my kids got to see all 4 grandparents, both of their great grandmothers, both of their aunts, both of their uncle, all 6 of their cousins, a great aunt, a great uncle, 3 1st cousins once removed, 3 second cousins, and one great great uncle all in one week!  So wonderful!  We are so grateful for our families!
