I remember in nursing school, in my OB class, learning about "nesting." The instructor said that at the end of pregnancy, women get this sudden burst of energy where they clean and finish preparing for their baby. Folks, I'm here to tell you that is a MYTH! I never "nested" with Clayton and I sure haven't had that burst of energy this time. I'm convinced that "nesting" is a conspiracy to give women something to look forward to in these last few weeks. On the contrary, my energy level has gone way down. I am so tired and so ready to hold my precious baby. For the last few days, poor Clayton has watched WAY too much TV (I'm usually a stickler about my 3 shows a day maximum!). To balance things out (and to keep his brain from turning to mush), we have read a million books. He LOVES to read books and it is the only time during the day where he sits perfectly still and snuggles with me. So... a good portion of our days at home have been devoted to that activity.
I go to the doctor tomorrow. I'm secretly hoping and praying that he will put me out of my misery and do the C-section tomorrow. It is wishful thinking, I know, but a girl can dream, right? I told Wade today that I am prepared to offer the doctor a large sum of money to take Drew tomorrow. He said (and I quote), "Well, the Dow dropped 700 points today, so be conservative with your offer." Very funny, honey!

I'm so excited that the countdown is down to one week! I can't wait to hold him!
I completely agree with you on the nesting myth! I never "nested", but Brad and my mom "nested" for me! Ha! Can't wait to see pictures of Baby Drew!
