Our sweet Baby Drew was welcomed into the world on October 23rd at 7:12am. He tipped the scales at a whopping 9 lbs. 0 oz. He was 21.5 inches long, has light brown hair, and blue eyes. He is absolutely precious and we feel so blessed to have him with us.
We did have a rocky first two days. Drew was breathing fast intermittently and required a 2 day NICU stay. It was hard on our hearts to have him apart from us. Tonight (October 24th) they finally released him to "room in" with us. We are looking forward to learning more about our little guy and bonding as a family.
We are doing great (obviously, since I am blogging from my hospital bed). :) Thanks for all of your prayers and concerns throughout this pregnancy and birth. We love you all!
Here's a few pics to tide you over until we get home:
Clayton wore scrubs to the hospital for Drew's birth. He thought he was BIG stuff! He was winning the hearts of nurses all over this hospital. He has done many "check ups" and given lots of shots. So funny!
Can you believe that he weighed 9 lbs!!! Here's the proof.
Meeting our sweet boy...
Does this look like a tiny NICU baby to you?!?!?!
Grinning or gas - you choose!

I'm claiming my turn to hold him at Christmas right now (maybe some extra ones to make up for lost time)! I can't wait to get my hands on him! He's so cute. Congrats to all, we love you and miss you.

YAY!! I'm so glad he's doing better. Love the pictures! Can't wait to meet him!
So glad that you all are doing well and I love the pics of Clayton!
Congratulations, Carpenter Family! He is adorable, and it looks like Clayton is ready for the role of big brother!
Congrats again! Drew is such a cutie, and you guys were so relaxed when we came up there...we were impressed! BTW, we did go to Freebird's later on after all the burrito talk!
These pictures do not begin to show how perfect Drew is. We so enjoyed being with all four of you for Drew's birth. Your family is truly amazing. Clayton loves Drew so much. He is a wonderful great brother.
Glad to hear everyone is doing well! I'm sad I didn't get to see baby Drew while we were there but I'm sure we will see him soon! Congrats again on a beautiful addition. P.S. I'm sure Drew is thankful to you for "starring" out his goods! : )
