Today my friend, Angie, and I took our kiddos to the Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound. We took them last year and they had a blast. This year, we decided to go during the week hoping to miss the massive Saturday crowds. It was less crowded, but there were LOTS of school groups so there were still tons of kids everywhere. There were a few panicky moments where we lost sight of our two amongst the masses. Luckily, we managed to make it out of the patch with the same two little ones that we went in with. :)
The other bummer was that the hayrides were by reservation only. So, we didn't get to go on a hayride. :( The barrel train that the kids loved last year is only running on the weekends this year, too. And... we couldn't seem to find the wooden Spiderman cutout from their website. Clayton had brought his costume so that he could have his picture taken with the real Spidey - he was so sad that he couldn't find him. All in all, there wasn't as much to do as last year, but Clayton and McKenna still had fun!
A couple of years ago, Wade's grandmother got me a subscription to Family Fun magazine. It is one of the best gifts that she ever gave me (Thanks, G!). I am totally addicted to it now. It is full of fun activities to do with kids. We made Clayton's t shirt based on instructions from Family Fun. Click HERE for the directions if you'd like to make your own. Clayton loves his shirt and it was really easy to make.
McKenna
Can't remember what was so funny in this one...
He actually posed willingly for a few photo ops. No bribes required this time!
