Yesterday we went to the Texas Rangers Fan Fest at the ballpark. We had the best time! I must admit that I had never heard of Fan Fest. Wade remembers going as a kid, though, so he suggested that we take our boys. I think it was kind of a full circle moment for him. ;)
We got there right at 9:00 and it was cold, but not too crowded. The boys hit at the home run derby area.
Then we went to the Clubhouse. It was really cool to get to see the locker room area and all of the players' names! The boys thought it was soooo neat to get to go "behind the scenes." :)
Then we got to hang out in the dugout. Drew said, "It's just like on TV!" ;)
They got to run the bases and then stand on home plate.
Then we got to hit at the Rangers indoor cages. I even took a turn! I wasn't any good of course, but it was a cool experience!
Fan Fest made for a great family day date! I can definitely see this becoming a tradition for our little baseball loving family. :)
