Shower for Baby Caroline

This past Saturday, we had a baby shower for one of my dearest friends, Holly. Holly is expecting Baby Caroline at the end of October, and I CANNOT wait for her sweet babe to get here! I just know that she will be precious. :)

Abbey, Leah, and I had fun planning a party for Holly & Baby Caroline. We had a great turnout and Holly got some wonderful, wonderful things! I think she is set now. All we need is a baby!

Leah made these super cute "bow-quets" with hairbows for Holly to start Caroline's bow collection. Such a cute idea!

Many of the girls from our Sunday school class got to come.
I've known Holly since we were in high school, and I have always thought that she was a pretty girl. However, I think that she is absolutely stunning as a pregnant gal. It agrees with her, for sure!
In just a few months that baby bump will be gone, and Holly will be holding a sweet newborn. I can't wait!

Three Babies and A Wedding

I feel like I am in such a fun season of life right now, especially when it comes to celebrating with my girlfriends. It seems like all of my friends are getting married or having babies - I'm loving it! I really enjoy watching my friends go through these major events in their lives and seeing how they grow and change. It's fun to watch the transformation from the sidelines and cheer them on through the process. :)

Over the last week, I have gotten to celebrate with three of my friends who are expecting babies and one who is about to tie the knot. How fun is that?!?! I'm thrilled for each of these precious ladies and look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of them.

Last Friday, I went to Katie's "Fling Before the Ring." We had so much fun celebrating our favorite bride-to-be! We went to a gorgeous lake house on Cedar Creek Lake and spent the night. We gave Katie frilly gifts and shared advice on love and marriage. We stayed up until 4 am chatting and laughing. It has been a loooong time since I was up at that hour and wasn't nursing a baby. Ha ha!

Then on Saturday, Abbey, Holly, and I took Leah out for fondue to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Miss Sadie Rose. Leah is due in just 2 1/2 short weeks! I cannot wait to hold her sweet babe! Leah is going to have to shoo me away - I'm liable to be knocking on her door every single day to get my baby fix. :)
Then on Tuesday, I got to have lunch with some of my high school buddies (two of which are expecting babies!). L to R: Tiffany (due with a baby boy in August), Julia (Tiffany's daughter) Kati (due with a baby girl in 2 weeks), Judy, Brooks (Judy's son), Clayton, Me, and Drew

I love that I have been friends with these girls for so many years (Judy & I were in the same 1st grade class, and I met Tiffany & Kati in the 10th grade). We don't get to see each other often enough, but when we do, we can just pick right back up where we left off. That's the mark of a good friendship, I'd say.

Weddings, babies, and more babies... I love this stage of life. :)

Showering the Future Mrs. Katie Baker

One of my sweet college roommates, Katie, is getting married on July 3rd. Yay! I'm so excited for our her!!! Katie is a precious, precious girl. She means so much to me...

Katie met her match (Wes) in the summer of 2008. I remember her talking about him, and I could instantly tell that she was smitten. Our strong-as-a-rock Katie turned into an ooey gooey mess when she talked about him. It was the cutest thing! As soon as I met Wes, I knew they were a perfect pair. So, I was thrilled in January when I received the news that he had proposed. A few weeks later, Katie called to ask if Clayton would be their Ring Bearer. Yes, of course! We are so excited about their upcoming nuptials!

As a sidenote, Katie is a kindergarten teacher and her new name will be Katie Baker. How cute is that?!?! Wouldn't you be pleased as punch if your child's kinder teacher was named Katie Baker? I know I would. That just sounds like the sweetest teacher name. I love it!

This past Saturday, we threw a wedding shower for our favorite bride-to-be. It was so fun to throw a party for Katie! The hostesses were the 5 of us who all lived with her at 2521 Ashford in college as well as her current roommates. Roommates past & present - good times!

That almost never happens. It's always fun when it does, though!

As an added bonus, I got to meet Cindy's new baby! I have been dying to get my hands on Sweet Baby Drew for 3 months now. I finally got my chance! He is adorable and made me wish that I lived close enough to pop over for a snuggle whenever I wanted. :)
It was a fun weekend celebrating my dear friend. I'm so excited about Katie & Wes' wedding and all of the festivities leading up to it. It's going to be a fun-filled few months!
