Last Wednesday Clayton's little school had a Fun Run that was a fundraiser for the school. It was so fun to watch my boy in his element. He was super competitive and ran his little heart out. He came in 3rd place among the 2nd graders - yay! It was a pretty long track that they had set up, and the kids ran it 10 times. I'm guessing that they probably ran about 3 miles - pretty impressive.

Fire Truck Day at Preschool
Several local firefighters brought their fire truck and an ambulance to the preschool last week. My boy was in hog heaven - so fun to watch! :)
I have to say that, so far, my experience with Drew going to preschool has been very similar to when Clayton went. I still watch the clock throughout the day and wonder what he is doing at school. I am sooo excited to pick him up and hear all about his day. I still want to be at all of the fun events. It is just as fun the second time around!
Drew was thrilled that the Fire Department was coming to his school. He was so excited when it was finally the day when he would get to meet the "firemans." :)

Owen's Second Dentist Appointment
Since I was such a failure at photographing Owen's first dentist appointment, I decided to remedy that at his one month follow up appointment. I even put him in the same outfit. :)
The dentist ended up filing the point down a bit on Owen's front tooth. It still looks pretty bad, but at least it isn't quite as sharp. :-/ The dentist said that we may put a crown on it later, but he didn't want to sedate him for that procedure since he is still so young. It may be an option when he gets a bit older, but for now we are just going to have to get used to his crazy tooth. It's already growing on me a bit. :)

Drew's Artwork
I had to post a couple of pictures of Drew's recent artwork. They are just too cute not to document. :)
His first school "project" was to make an All About Me poster. He stuck on the letters and pictures, and told me exactly what to write.
Only a 3 year old with a brother who is really into science would draw a brain on his father's portrait. ;) When I asked about the squiggles on the arms and he told me they were "the hair on his arms," I about fell out of my chair. That boy is so funny!

SeaLife Aquarium Field Trip
On September 14th, we went to the SeaLife Aquarium in Grapevine with some other homeschooling families from our church. The Aquarium was having Homeschool Week and offering a very discounted rate - too good of a deal to pass up. :)
The kids had lots of fun, but I was a bit of a nervous wreck. :-/ The aquarium is sectioned off into lots of smaller rooms. Clayton, of course, wanted to be up front with his buddies filling out the scavenger hunt questions that the aquarium provided. I was trying to navigate the crowds while pushing the stroller, so I seemed to always be several rooms behind Clayton. That was a little unnerving - I need to be able to have my eyes on all 3 kiddos at all times. After a few stern discussions/warnings, Clayton realized that he better stick with me. I love doing this kind of thing, but I haven't exactly figured out how to keep all 3 of my children happy, safe, and entertained all at the same time in public. I'm praying it gets easier as they get older... :)
Another fun learning experience under our belt... Even though it is hard to take all three boys to do this kind of thing, it is always worth it. :)
