TobyMac Hits Deep Tour

For Christmas, Wade & I got the boys tickets to see the TobyMac Hits Deep Tour concert.  They were stoked!  Concert Day finally arrived on February 24th.  It was an awesome concert with so many of our favorites and some new-to-us artists as well:  Matt Maher, Mandisa, Mac Powell from Third Day, Capital Kings, Ryan Stevenson, and Hollyn.  We loved every minute!

Clayton's Science Fair Project

This kid loves any chance to prove his Mama wrong, so he jumped at the chance to use his science fair project to do just that.  After years of me telling him that studies show that people who sleep with their dogs in their bed don't sleep as well, his results showed the opposite. I'm sure that he did nothing to skew the results...  ;)

Love My 2521 Girls

Got to sneak away for lunch with these two - gosh I love them!

The 100th Day of Kindergarten

My Sweet Baby got to celebrate the 100th Day of Kindergarten in some special ways!  The teachers gave the kids the options of dressing like a 100 year old.   We love a good costume, so we were all in!  O wore silver hair spray, reading glasses, suspenders, and walked with a "cane" (aka back scratcher - ha!).  He was a super cute little old man, if I do say so myself!

This was Owen's old man face.  Hahaha!
They were also asked to bring a poster with 100 of something.  My little animal lover chose to make a dalmatian with 100 spots.
Mrs. W was so cute in her curlers and shawl!

Kindergarten is so much fun!

Valentines Day 2017

We sure love Valentines Day at the Carpenter Casa!  Or maybe I am the only one that loves it, and my guys just play along...  ;)

The little boys addressed their valentines for their classmates.

Drew's class made ice cream sundaes - yum!
My four Valentines got me the most gorgeous flowers!
Then it was time for our annual Pink & Red dinner, or should I say brinner.  Our kids love breakfast for dinner!  Heart shaped eggs, bacon, and pancakes it is!

I am so grateful that my sweethearts play along and make a "Hallmark holiday" fun for their Mama!

Wade Turns 38

My Honey turned 38 on February 11th!  This guy just keeps getting better with age - love him so!

When we were talking about how he wanted to celebrate, he saw that Max Stallings was performing at the Sons of Hermann Hall on his birthday.  Back in the day (late 90s-early 2000s), Wade and his cousin, Zach would frequent lots of Texas Country Music venues.  Max Stallings was one of their favorites.  When he realized that Max would be playing on his birthday, he decided it would be fun to relive their "glory days."  Haha!  We invited Todd & Leah too, of course, because everything is more fun with them along!

We had a good time singing and two stepping the night away!  I think the Birthday Boy had a good time!

Just for fun, here is a picture that Marsha sent of Wade's first birthday cake.  Wade was anxious to make his debut on February 11, 1979 and refused to wait until they got to the hospital.  So, he took his first breath in the back seat of their car on the way there!  Wade's mom made his first birthday cake in the shape of a car, with Baby Wade's little head peeking out of the back window.  Isn't that hysterical?!?!
