Christmas in Houston

We were able to go to Houston on December 26th to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family.  We had a great time with all of the cousins!  They sure are a sweet crew!

The biggest surprise of Christmas was probably the unseasonably warm temperatures.  It was 80 degrees in Houston!  Owen asked if he could go for a swim in Papa D's pool.  We gave him permission, thinking that he would only last a few minutes.  That little polar bear got out there and swam for half an hour!  He's a mess!

I couldn't get over how much Angel has grown since we saw him in July.  He is taller than I am now!  He thought that was pretty cool.  :)
On the way back home, my odometer read 123456.  I thought that deserved a picture.  Ha!
Thanks for making Christmas so nice, Dad, Becca, and Jeff!  We sure did enjoy our time with you all!

Christmas Day!!!

While the boys were sleeping, Santa came and stuffed their stockings and left them some wonderful gifts!

Clayton was up first, no surprise there!  He was pretty stoked about his light up skateboard and drone!

The little two were up next!
Owen was pretty pleased with his light up skateboard, headphones, and Osmo.  :)
Drew got a light up skateboard as well and a Dash & Dot robot.  So fun!

They were all chomping at the bit to see if Santa brought them a trampoline...  I was able to snap one pic before they started dashing around.  From that point on, all of my pictures are a blur of excitement.  Haha!

 Donut snowmen and reindeer
 Nick's farewell note
Next we did family gifts.  The boys had taken their money to their school's spirit store to buy for each other and Wade & I.  It is always so fun to see them giddy about giving rather than receiving.  I love seeing what they choose when they are on their own to pick gifts.  :)

We gave the boys Six Flags & Hurricane Harbor passes.
We also got them Toby Mac tickets.
 The final reveal was upstairs...
Wade rigged a tarp for dramatic effect.  We may have watched a few too many episodes of Fixer Upper...  ;)
I think they were pretty excited about their big boy game room!

Owen spent the evening working on his Osmo.  It is a pretty neat little toy!
We had a great Christmas celebrating faith & family!  We are so very grateful that God sent His Son to Earth to live a sinless life and die for our sins on the cross.  If there were no baby, there would be no cross, and there would be no eternal life for sinners.  Praise the Lord that He sent His Son to make a way for us!
