Camp Thurman - 8/4/14-8/8/14

One of Clayton's sweet friends that he has known since 3 year old class in preschool, attends Camp Thurman (a day camp in Arlington) every summer.  His mama raves about the camp and how much fun it is.  This summer, Mrs. Carly asked if Clayton could go with Pierce and she offered to drive him both ways.  Sold!

To say that Clayton enjoyed himself is a huge understatement!  He loved every minute!  Those kids played HARD from 8:45-3:30 each day.  They wore swim trunks, a tee shirt, and water shoes and were filthy dirty and exhausted by the end of the day.  They swam twice a day, zip lined, worked their way through ropes courses, played slap dodgeball, and had a ton 'o fun in the great outdoors.  They also had a devotional (the Journey of Faith, God as a Blacksmith, the Great Jailbreak from Sin, the Goldrush of Salvation, and God’s Word as a Letter to Us) each day that Clayton really enjoyed.  He loved his counselors, Sheriff and Iceberg, as well.

I think we are sold on Camp Thurman!  Clayton is already talking about going back next summer.  So fun!
