Just Call Me Maid Marian..

My boys have taken up a new hobby.... archery!  Wade's buddy, Todd, bought a bow back in the fall and has told Wade for months how much he enjoys shooting it.  Wade went to the range with him in January and decided that he wanted a compound bow for his birthday.  Wade NEVER requests a certain gift.  He is so hard to buy for!  So, I was happy to oblige when he told me what he had his heart set on.  ;)

It didn't take long before Clayton jumped on the bandwagon, too, followed shortly by Drew.  So, now we are the proud owners of a full sized compound bow, a youth compound bow, and a youth basic bow.  I have always teased that there isn't a bow in sight in my house full of boys, but I can't say that anymore.  Ha!

The boys have really enjoyed going to the archery range near our house several times.  They have even bought blocks to practice in our side yard.

My Hubs is such a stud...

Not bad for his first time shooting his new bow!
Giving Clayton a little lesson.  C is double jointed which is, apparently, a big handicap when it comes to archery.  When he hold the bow straight out, his elbow bends inward and makes it difficult.

Obviously, it hasn't hindered him too much!  Smack dab in the middle of the bullseye!
Cute little archer  :)

I love that my boys have something that they all enjoy doing together!  It is fun to watch them!  I feel like it is really good for my boys - it teaches them patience, persistence, balance, aim, etc.  I'm sure it won't be long before my littlest fella will have a bow in his hands.  ;)
