Colorado Trip 2013 - Day 1 & 2

We went to Colorado for Spring Break this year.  We had an amazing time!!!  I can see us going back many more times - the boys loved every minute!

We left on Wednesday, March 6th.  When we decided to go to Colorado, we knew that Owen wasn't old enough to enjoy it.  So... he spent the week at Grammie Camp with Wade's parents.  He had a ball being an only child with his grandparents, and the big boys got our undivided attention.  :)  Wade met Marsha & Terry halfway to drop off our sweet baby.  After school, we picked up Clayton and left straight for the airport.  We were officially in vacation mode!

I had an adorable little seat partner on the plane.  Drew was soooo good!  It was a very enjoyable experience - zero stress.  Traveling with big kids is pretty awesome.  :)
After the stewardesses came around with the drink cart, Clayton tapped my seat and said, "Mom, they gave me apple juice without any water!!!"  We do half juice, half water at home, so he thought that he was living the high life.  Ha!
We landed in Denver and spent the night there.  Then we woke up the next morning and drove to Keystone.  My Hubs used points and got us an AWESOME condo right across the parking lot from the gondola.  It was a perfect location!  I took this picture of Clayton on our patio.
We walked over to the slopes to grab some lunch before going snow tubing.  My Hubby loves the mountains!  He was in his happy place - not a care in the world...  I love vacation Wade.  :)
After lunch, we took the boys tubing.  It was soooooo much fun!  We got to make 9 or 10 runs in our allotted time frame.  We went down in all combinations - all four of us, three of us, pairs, singles.  It was a blast every time.
Here's a video that Wade took on a solo run.
Drew thought it was great fun to ride up the magic carpet backwards in his tube.  Funny boy.

 In the gondola...

We had a super fun tubing experience!  Afterwards, we rented our ski equipment and went to the grocery store.  We turned in early for a good night's sleep.  The boys were scheduled for ski school the next day...  (to be continued)
