NorthWood Christmas Festival

This has been a super fun week of Christmas activities for our little family!  Leah had seen an advertisement for the NorthWood Christmas Festival and was kind enough to share the info with me.  We decided to bundle up our families and brave the cold on Monday night.  It was awesome - sure to be a new family tradition!

We went on the "Story of Christmas Hayride" first.  We had to wait in line for awhile, but it was definitely worth it.  There were 13 scenes depicting the life of Christ with live actors.  We rode on a trailer of hay bales and listened to the audio narration.  The best part was listening to Clayton giving Drew his own commentary.  At the end he whispered to his little brother, "Jesus is soooo powerful that he rose from the dead!"  The passion in his voice moved me to tears.

Isaiah foretelling the birth of Christ
Gabriel appearing to Mary
The Birth of Christ
Jesus teaching in the temple
Jesus turning water into wine at the Wedding at Cana
Jesus and the woman at the well
Jesus healing the blind man
Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead
The Last Supper
The Crucifixion
The Resurrection
The Ascention
The hayride was powerful and made the true Christmas Story come alive.  It was a blessing to us all.

After the hayride, there was snow tubing, bounce houses, and a petting zoo.  It was a pretty chilly night, but the kids had so much fun!
