Tag, You're It!

Okay, so I just got tagged by my friend, Hannah. I've never been tagged before - I hope I am doing it right. I am supposed to post 6 random things about myself. So, here goes...

1. I am a clean freak. Yeah, yeah, yeah - no big surprise there. I am particular about my house and try to keep it really clean. I have eased up a lot since we had Clayton, though (right Leslie G?). However, the real kicker about my cleanliness is that I shower and wash my hair twice a day. I have done that for as long as I can remember (high school or jr. high, I guess). To some that may sound weird, but to me it is totally normal. I shower and wash my hair before bed, because I can't possibly sleep if I am dirty. Then when I wake up, my hair is crazy, so I have to wash it again before I can fix it. See, that makes perfect sense, right?

2. I have a really good memory when it comes to events in my life. For example, I remember every "homeroom" teacher that I have ever had. (2 year-old class: Mrs. Henson, 3 year-old class: Mrs. Wright, 4 year-old class: Mrs. Johnson, kindergarten: Mrs. Milaway, 1st grade: Mrs. Reynolds, 2nd grade: Mrs. Malone, 3rd grade: Mrs. Lackey, 4th grade: Mrs. Lucas, 5th grade: Mr. McCaffrey, 6th grade: Mrs. Rogers, I'll spare you by stopping there...). I also remember the exact moment and the exact room where I met Wade in the 4th grade. I could walk you right in the doors of FBC Carrollton and show you the exact spots where we were standing in the Allen building. Too bad that my memory isn't as capable of remembering historical facts, calculus, etc.

3. I absolutely, positively HATE the feel of chalk. It totally grosses me out. I remember despising it even in elementary school. I was so excited when Mrs. Thompson got one of those metal chalk holders when I was in the 2nd grade. I was even more excited when they started using dry erase boards in school. I even hated doing the uneven bars in gymnastics because you had to chalk up your hands. It took everything I had to stick my hands in that big bowl of loose chalk. It totally scarred me for life! To this day, I absolutely refuse to touch the stuff. I can't even bring myself to draw with Clayton when he plays with the sidewalk chalk. I just can't do it. Chalk = YUCK!

4. My collarbone aches every time that it rains - it always has. About a day before a storm, I can start to feel it. Wade says that I am better at predicting the weather than Pete Delkus - HAH! The pain is worse depending on how bad the storm is. (Emily M: Remember that really bad storm our freshman year when Jim came to campus to pick us up and take us to his house? Do you remember how I cried because my collarbone hurt so bad? You can vouch for me, right?!?!)
In nursing school, I finally figured out my weird collarbone issue. Sometimes, when really big babies are born, their collarbones break during the birth process. I was a 10 pound baby! So, I guess that my collarbone broke as an infant, and now I have some arthritis or something. Weird, huh?

5. I am absolutely terrified that our house is going to catch on fire - to the point of paranoia. I know that most everything could be replaced, but I worry about pictures and sentimental stuff. I have a plastic bin under our bed that Wade knows he has to grab if our house catches on fire (if there is still time after saving our children, dog, and himself, of course). In the bin are baby pictures of me & Wade, all 3 of our baby books - Wade's, mine, and Clayton's, a cd holder that has cds of all our digital pictures, some important documents, our wedding picture negatives, etc. It is all just stuff that I would be absolutely devastated if we lost.
As if that isn't enough.... just for good measure, at the end of every month I burn two copies of our digital pictures from that particular month. I put one in the bin under our bed and take one to Wade's moms house. That way, I won't loose all Clayton's baby pictures even if we don't have time to grab the "in case of a fire" bin. I'm neurotic - I know!

6. I am an extreme list maker. At any one time, I could have 4-5 different lists going. I am a chronic worrier, and I feel like I worry less about stuff once it is down on paper. Right now I have the following lists going: 1. grocery list, 2. a to do list for this week, 3. a "to do before drew" list, 4. a projects around the house list, and 5. a list of scrapbook pages I need to do - I am so behind, there are 18 2 page layouts on my list. What can I say, I just love checking things off as I complete them.

Alright, I think that I have embarrassed myself enough for now! I probably exposed a little too much of my weirdness, huh? :)

Hmm... who should I tag??? I think that I will tag:
1. My mom (because I think it is fun to hear things from her childhood/pre-kid life)
2. My sister (because I know she will actually do this)
3. Leigh Ann (because I'm sure she has some randomness that she is reluctant to expose)
4. Cindy (because she is the most random person I know - by far!)
5. Halie (because she is always good for a funny story about herself)
6. Abbey (because she is my newest buddy that blogs and I would love to learn more about her random facts).

Now, if you're tagged, here's what you do:
1. Post the rules on your blog
2. Write 6 random things about yourself
3. Tag 6 people
4. Please pass it on for fun...

Can't wait to read the responses of the people I tagged!

You are something else. Is this an effort to stay busy until Drew's birthday?

This was funny to read, and yes I remember the storm our freshman year! Crazy. I also remember you making list after list our senior year of high school! :)

That was so fun! Thanks for participating! I had Mr. McCafrey too! How funny. Oh, and I'm a list maker, clean freak (though not so much since Jacob arrived), and I'm paranoid about my house burning too! I have a drawer of stuff I'm prepared to throw out the window if I have to!
