Baby Boomers & Our Favorite Princess Turns 4

As soon as we moved, Wade and I started researching churches in the area. We visited the Baptist church closest to our house first. We really liked the church and felt welcomed from the first Sunday. Several of the couples in our Sunday School class went out of their way to get to know us. One of the ladies called to invite Clayton & I over for a playdate and another couple asked us to go to dinner with them - all within the first 2-3 times that we had visited. It really opened my eyes to how much that means to a visitor. What a blessing that is when you are "the new kid" in town!

Shortly after we had decided to make this particular church our home, we realized that couples were announcing that they were pregnant on a weekly basis. At a social we figured out that 4 of us were all due within a month of each other. One of the girls is having twins. So... that's 5 babies within weeks of each other - crazy! Today was Nina's baby shower and we managed to get a group picture of the preggos.

L to R: Me (due with a boy at the end of October), Sarah P. (due with a girl one week before me), Nina (due with a boy & a girl at the end of November- she'll probably deliver several weeks early, though), and Abbey (the gender of her baby will be a suprise due November 17th)

It has been such a blessing to get to share my pregnancy with these sweet ladies. It has also been an instant way to bond with my new pals. (In case you are wondering, the Children's Minister is aware of the baby boom that is about to hit the nursery. I'm sure they are recruiting volunteers as we speak. :) )

After the baby shower, we headed to my niece, Morgan's, princess party. I can't believe that she will be 4 years old on Monday! It seems like just yesterday that Wade called me at Children's to tell me that Leigh Ann was in labor. Miss Morgan had a princess party complete with lots of princess themed gifts, a pink princess cake, and princess goody bags. Happy Birthday Princess Morgan! We love you!
